Material to prepare for LanguageCert B1 Achiever, the exam that certifies B1-level English.
1 productB1 Achiever is the B1-level exam of LanguageCert International ESOL and tests all four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
It has two exams. The written exam includes Listening, about 30 minutes, and Reading and Writing back to back, 2 hours 10 minutes with no break. Speaking takes about 12 minutes and can be taken on a different day.
In Writing you have to write a formal response of 70-100 words for a public audience (Part 1) and an informal letter of 100-120 words to a friend (Part 2). It is assessed on four criteria: Task Fulfilment, Accuracy and Range of Grammar, Accuracy and Range of Vocabulary and Organisation.
