IELTS Academic Writing

You have 60 minutes for two tasks. In Task 1 you describe a graph, table, map or process in at least 150 words. In Task 2 you write an essay of at least 250 words on a general topic. Task 2 is worth twice as much as Task 1, so it is worth spending about 40 minutes on it.

Four criteria are assessed: how you respond to the task, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical range and accuracy. My guide works on each one with 40 model answers, over 500 academic expressions and answers to more than 60 frequently asked questions.
