Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE)

C1 Advanced, formerly known as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), is the Cambridge English exam that certifies level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. At C1 you can handle academic and professional situations with real ease, and it is the level many universities and employers ask for.

It has four parts: Reading and Use of English (8 parts, 1 hour 30 minutes), Writing (two tasks, 1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (about 40 minutes) and Speaking (about 17 minutes, in pairs or groups of three). The marks for each part are converted to the Cambridge English Scale to give your result.
