Cambridge B1 Preliminary (PET)
B1 Preliminary, formerly known as the Preliminary English Test (PET), is the Cambridge English exam that certifies level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference, and one of Cambridge's most popular exams. At B1 you can handle everyday, travel and work situations with ease and talk about your experiences and opinions.
The exam has four parts: Reading and Writing, 45 minutes each, Listening, about 30 minutes, and Speaking, taken in pairs or groups of three. As in every Cambridge exam, the marks for each part are converted to the Cambridge English Scale to give your result.
